Holy mountain views!
Unless you are brand new to the area or have been living under a rock for the past decade and a half, you are most likely familiar with the planned community of McDowell Mountain Ranch in North Scottsdale.
Nestled at the base of the aforementioned McDowell Mountains, this terrific community is located just east of the Loop 101 near Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Perched above it all, the homes on the outer boundaries of the development house unrivaled desert vistas and/or city light views all the way to Camelback Mountain, South Mountain and beyond.

Just listed in the gated Cimarron Hills subdivision of McDowell Mountain Ranch, this 2700+ Sq Ft home is low maintenance desert living at its finest. Featuring 3 bedroom plus office/library with built-in shelving, cherry cabinetry, slab granite countertops, 3 bathrooms, full tile roof, cherry stairway railing & family room built-ins and a downstairs master with breathtaking views of the McDowell Mountains. Situated on one of the highest lots in the neighborhood, you'll step out onto the private patio with a built-in barbeque, gas firepit, retractable shade awning and ... the mountains. There is nothing between you and the majestic McDowells except Sonoran desert.

I could go on and on about the wonderful upgrades and the community walking paths, community centers, pools, basketball courts, shopping, etc, but it's really all about the mountains with this property. As an added bonus, you even catch a sliver of city light views to the South.
Perfect for a second home as well as a primary residence with no rear yard to maintain outside of your open patio space. Heck, the HOA even takes care of the front landscaping for you.

One of the newer subdivisions of McDowell Mountain Ranch, Cimarron Hills boasts the difficult to find in Scottsdale post year 2000 construction (this one was built in 2003). Unless you have the very deep pockets needed to build on the dwindling land in Scottsdale, or don't mind the lengthy commute involved in heading the considerable distance either South or West to find new construction in neighboring cities, the options are actually surprisingly limited.
Once you see this million dollar view with a price tag under $800,000, I'm reasonably certain you'll rule out the alternatives in short order. While the late afternoon sun is always spectacular, believe me when I tell you that there is no other sight in Scottsdale quite like a storm system rolling in from the Northeast over the McDowells.

At list price, we'll even supply the coffee mug and lounge chair.

Hi Paul, that is a very handsome home. The topography is definitly desert but no lawn to mow and sure saves on water. Beautiful home and not a bad price for that size property. All the best and hoping you get it under contract very soon. Nice post as well.
This is a beautiful presentation. You really have gone above and beyond for your sellers with this post. Congratulations and good luck.
Very nice listing Paul. Hopefully, that patio and those mountain views will get you a quick sale.
Is that one of those oversized coffee mugs, or some little whimpy plastic one? It matters you know!
If only....
That sure is different country you live in down there.
Will the mug have some clever comment? I like those.
We'll print to order, Jim. And tell Melina that I never play around with my mugs. Coffee time is sacrosanct. I won't get the wide mouthed ones for that very reason. Absolutely abysmal heat retention when 10 ounces of coffee has a surface area of the Potomac. My mug will have good, but not detrimental, circumference, and a nice thick outward curving lip for pure caffeinated bliss.
Now ... who wants to buy the house that comes with it?
Hi Paul - Now that's affordable luxury! The photo of the sunset was absolutely beautiful. What a majestic setting for a lovely home. Congrats on a great listing and excellent presentation.
a beaut! but where are them darn trees? ;-) let me jot down those coffee mug parameters........
Hi Paul... now those are the views I think of when someone says Arizona to me! Beautiful listing... good luck with it.
Paul,
What a setting for a home. I especially loke the view of the sunset from the one room. Good luck sir.
My favorite amenity with this one, when the sun goes down a bit is the outdoor kitchen.
Wow what a great looking property Paul. Best of luck with it.
okay, call me totally obnoxious (I know you would anyway...) but where's the pool? and does the wine come with the sale? oh, wait... you already sold me a home I love! And hey, look at that! it's got the pool! :+)
You have to make do with a few community pools on this one, Jessica ... in addition to the community rec centers, tennis courts, walking paths ;) Glad to hear you are still in love with your home!
It was so great to see you guys last weekend. I cannot believe how long it had been. James is such a great big, little kid.
