Accurate summary, thanks.

Stats Schmats.  I like to boil things down to their essence for the time conscious consumer ;)

I think I might have to borrow your "format" for my next market report.

Posted by Melina Tomson, M.S. Principal Broker/Owner (Tomson Burnham, llc Licensed in the State of Oregon) about 3 years ago

It's a good time saver, Melina.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Hoping I won't have to cut and paste this effort for future reports, KM.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

It could prove itself to be quite a task Paul.  I had to edit my HA's, I apologize.  They were out of control.  KM

Posted by Kristin Moran, San Antonio,TX~Real Estate 210-313-7397 (Owner - RE/MAX Access - KristinMoran@Remax.net) about 3 years ago

This begs the question....why am I wasting time creating charts?

Posted by Lisa Heindel, New Orleans Real Estate Broker (Crescent City Living LLC) about 3 years ago

Your HA's were stretching my screen, you nutty girl, you.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Only you can answer that question, Lis ;)

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

I like a man who gets to the point Paul. No beating around the bush. Hopefully my comment will add to your point total since the less than 50 words didn't do anything for you. We don't need no stinkin' charts!!

Posted by Gary Woltal - Assoc. Broker REALTOR® SFR Dallas Ft. Worth (Keller Williams Realty) about 3 years ago

Of course ... I could probably break this out into a graph.  Give me some time, and I'll make this more palatable for the more visually inclined learners.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure they deduct points every time I post, Gary.  Bob Stewart has been trying to kill me for months.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

HAHAHAHAHA - I LIKE IT!  To the point, concise, and certainly not embellished!

Posted by Leesa L. Finley -Wake Forest NC REALTOR® Wake Forest NC & Raleigh NC Real Estate (Circa Properties - Your Wake Forest NC Homes Specialist) about 3 years ago

No one likes puffery, Leesa.  Except Bernie Madoff, maybe.

Can I re-blog this?  I find its content very pertinent to todays markets everywhere!  LOL...Nothing like keeping it real!  :)

Posted by Tara Campbell Broker/Owner, GRI, CDPE (RE/MAX Family) about 3 years ago

Concise, to the point... what an appropriate update for a Wordsmith, such as yourself.

Posted by Alan May, Coldwell Banker Realtor® Evanston, Illinois & Northern Suburbs (847.425.3779 almay@aol.com) about 3 years ago

I dare you, Tara.  That would be just about the funniest use of the reblog yet.

Some days, the words just don't feel like showing up for work, Alan.  I must entertain myself in other ways when the thesaurus phones in sick.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Paul- Now this is the kind of post that should get at least 100 Comments! LOL! Love your honesty.

Posted by Nestor & Katerina Gasset Realtors® Wellington Florida Homes For Sale (International Properties and Investments LLC) about 3 years ago

Simple yet powerful, plus very easy to read. All and all, one of the best posts I've read today.

Posted by Dan and Amy Schuman- Cleveland OH Luxury Real Estate (Howard Hanna Real Estate Services) about 3 years ago

Katerina, this is the kind of post that should get me shunned by NAR.

Dan & Amy, you haven't read too many posts today, have you? ;)

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Paul, a fantastic market summary that could be used in many locations across this great land.  Are you sure that one week is enough?  Maybe folks should check back in a month or so.

Posted by Brian Block -- Northern Virginia & D.C. Real Estate (RE/MAX Allegiance, Managing Broker/Branch Vice President) about 3 years ago

Good point, Brian.  These do take a lot of prep work, too.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

...!

Posted by Russell Lewis, Broker,CLHMS,GRI (Realty Austin, Austin Texas Real Estate) about 3 years ago

LMAO- This is my favorite market report ever, no graphs or boring stats and long copy to sift through.  I know this was just a smart niche marketing strategy to reach minimalist clients.  You are one smart marketer Paul Slaybaugh.

Posted by Rebecca Levinson, Real Estate Marketing Consultant (Real Skillz-Clear Marketing for Your Real Estate Vision) about 3 years ago

Howdy, Russell.

That's exactly the strategy I was aiming to employ, Rebecca.  Yeah ... that's it.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Shun on! NAR! I am so sick of them asking me to do their bidding! Those bogus support emails I get; get my blood churning! Let 'em have it Paul!

Posted by Nestor & Katerina Gasset Realtors® Wellington Florida Homes For Sale (International Properties and Investments LLC) about 3 years ago

I'll echo what Kristin said - ha ha.... perfect! I think I get the picture. ~Rita

Posted by Kenna Real Estate about 3 years ago

Rita, you are looking more and more like your other half these days ;)

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

I love it!  And it's great that you included this in the Market Reports Group!  too funny, thanks for the smile!

Posted by Valerie Spaulding~Allyn~Belfair~Hood Canal & Puget Sound~WA~Real Estate~ (Windermere Peninsula Properties~Allyn~Belfair~WA) about 3 years ago

Krista, you gotta take a joke all the way if you're going to make it work ;)

Valerie, Sorry to inundate you with all of that data so late in the day.  I know I demand much of the reader.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Hi Paul, There you go again, just in a few words, you said it all . You are really good , :-)

Posted by San Diego Real Estate Voice authored by William Johnson GRI CRS e-Pro CDPE (RE/MAX Associates) about 3 years ago

Oh, I forgot to mention Paul, that I think I received more points for my comment comments than you did for the post, LOL

Posted by San Diego Real Estate Voice authored by William Johnson GRI CRS e-Pro CDPE (RE/MAX Associates) about 3 years ago

Hi William.  It is a grave injustice, is it not?  Such a peeling-back-the-top-on-a-can-of-unadulterated-truth kind of post will net me a big fat zero.  That's okay.  Hard to play the martyr when you get what you want.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Paul - Would you care to summarize your report please, I'm kinda sleepy and don't feel like reading both sentences.   Toooooo funnnnny!

Posted by Laguna Homes|Laguna Condos| Laguna Real Estate|Marlene Bridges (Village Real Estate Services, Inc.) about 3 years ago

Come on - You have to include charts.  There is no way a customer is going to sort throught that wall of words.

Posted by Erik Hitzelberger, --Louisville-Middletown Real Estate (RE/MAX Alliance - Louisville REALTOR-Luxury Homes) about 3 years ago

It's a good thing you didn't include September through December, Erik.  Would have needed a new baseline.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Can I copy your report Paul? I don't want to go through the trouble of creating my own and they're about the same anyway....

Posted by Mandi Perkins (AZ Big Sky Realty, Inc.) about 3 years ago

Knock yourself out, Mandi :)

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Seriously... why drone on about numbers nobody really gives a screw about, right.  Just get to the heart of the matter.  Love it man.

Posted by Fairbanks Alaska Real Estate Specialists Jesse & Kathy Clifton 907-328-9328 (Jesse Clifton & Associates, REALTORS®) about 3 years ago

Best marketing report I have ever read

Posted by Guilford Connecticut Real Estate Agent, Sandra Cummings (William Raveis Real Estate) about 3 years ago

What?  Well at least you are having a good time right???

Posted by Paddy Pizappi PineBush & Hudson Valley NY Real Estate (RJ Smith Realty Real Estate Solutions) about 3 years ago

Nice!  Short and to the point.  My market is the same way but have never thought of posting it that way.

Posted by Sean Dankers (Realty World Select) about 3 years ago

Love it ! Not that your market is not good, but hey just cut to the chase.

Posted by Missy Caulk-Ann Arbor-Realtor® Ann Arbor Real Estate (Keller Williams-Ann Arbor) about 3 years ago

I've been dealing with a couple of colleagues down there on Canadian referrals and I hear you.

Posted by Terry Chenier (Homelife Glenayre Realty) about 3 years ago

Terry - If those are buyers you are referring, then you can flip the report on its ear.  They are heading this way just in time to take advantage of perhaps the greatest buyer's market of our lifetime.  If they are trying to unload the seasonal home they purchased in the last couple of years ... my condolences.

Missy - No point being Baghdad Bob.

Sean - Probably not what most have in mind by "outside the box" type marketing ;)

Paddy - I always have a good time.

Sandra - How did I know you'd appreciate it?

Jesse - Yep, cut to the chase and save the stats for the academicians.

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Some of your best writing ... ouch! ;)

Posted by Jacka$$ from New Jersey about 3 years ago

That is HANDS DOWN, the best market report I've ever read!!!!

Posted by Meridian Idaho Real Estate ~ Pam Pugmire (Silvercreek Realty Group) about 3 years ago

I might have to make this my swan song, Jersey.  Nowhere to go but down.

Pam - Thank you for fighting all of the way through it ;)

Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 3 years ago

Paul, you kill me!!  Lol!!! I didn't see this before.... lol!!

Posted by Susan Mangigian, Chester County Homes Delaware and Chester County Offices! (RE/MAX Preferred, West Chester, PA, RS152252A) about 3 years ago

Unfortunately, I was lulled into a stupor by this stultifyingly dull market report.

Posted by Jason Crouch, Broker - Austin Texas Real Estate (512-796-7653) (Austin Texas Homes, LLC) about 3 years ago

I wouldn't go to all that trouble for just anyone Paul!!!

Posted by Meridian Idaho Real Estate ~ Pam Pugmire (Silvercreek Realty Group) about 3 years ago

I love that post! What a way to say it all. I hope it's better this week. Things in my neck-of-the-woods are getting better. Even if our weather is getting worse.
