The Scottsdale Real Estate Files: And Now a Word From Your Leaders

And Now a Word From Your Leaders

In these troubled times, we Americans need to remember that a penny saved is a penny earned.  Not only are a fool and his money quickly separated, but a bird in hand is worth two in the bush leagues.  When push comes to shove, remember to raise your spirits by lifting with your legs.  We don't need another hero to pull us up by our bootstraps.  Each of us has to buckle down and cowboy up.  Drastic times call for drastic measures, so make sure to carefully portion out equal parts piss and vinegar and take your medicine.  Tastes like chicken.

I know so many of you have concerns that we have fallen off the cliff, but we will fly like eagles when we allow our spirits to soar.  Don't waste another minute of your time when there are only so many hours in the day.  The end may be nigh, but every ending is a new beginning and the grass is always greener on the dark side of a blue moon.  Of course, an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force, so it's time to grease the big wheels if we want to keep on turning.

That will be 800 billion dollars, please.

Paul- After watching Slumdog Millionaire I will always be reminded of how the very poorest beggar here in the US is living in luxury compared to the slums of India and what those orphans do to survive yet even they survive, it is human nature that when we are pushed as low as you can go, that we know how to survive, it is innate within each of us. We only know this about ourselves when faced with trials and tribulation. If everything is honkey dorey all the time, and everything is handed to us, and someone is always trying to protect us from hitting bottom, we never know the true strength that is within us. Let it fall, let it fail, let it take its natural course just like the seasons. Because once it hits bottom it has no way to go but up.

Funny Post. Is it only 800 billion or has it changed since this was posted. It is crazy if you ask me.-Dinah Lee

You would go FAR in politics - until someone opened your trunk.

Good Morning, Paul :)

Great reminder, if we all focus on what we can control and spend less time bemoaning the goings on we'll pull through this faster.

Is it just me or is anyone else expecting the freaky kid from Mad Max to show up to signal the coming apocalypse?

I thought you were the freaky kid from Mad Max.

Aw come on.  We've got some live brainiacs on The Hill and in that big White House working on the problems.

Shucks.  As soon as they fix housing and the banks, they're on to health, the war and other things to "take care of us".

Doesn't that make you feel better?

Oh yeah.  Guess that means you better get your affairs in order, E.

What are you talking about? I thought everything was already fixed..Free health care for everyone!

I would feel better if I thought that this was all about stabalizing the economy and not about personal ambitions. Nestor and Katrina are right- It has to take it due course. If the plan was so grand wouldn't investors be jumping on board instead of running for life jackets?

We need to stabilize. Lets put together a panel of citizens, Realtors, investors and yes representatives. Have them mull this over before they just throw money at it. There are men who have made fortunes from nothing. They probably have some good ideas, but it will take ACTION.

Personal responsibility needs to take hold. Don't just hold your hand out... get to work. Find a way to make it work. The lazy mentality that "the man" will take care of you is what is tearing our county apart. If you look back these programs were never intended to be hand outs, just a help out as you get on your feet again. Something some Americans and others taking advantage of our system have not considered doing in a long time.

What we need to do to fix this issue is put everyone on the job of solving this crisis and not waiting around for the next stimulus check or hug from the government.

Get inspired. Make a difference. Move forward without looking back. These are the days that fortunes are made. Invest in your self, and your dreams. Just go for it...and in turn we will all prosper.-Dinah Lee Griffey

Man what's with all the sarcasm, you don't like what the government is doing?  How could you not like spending billions we don't have to fix a problem that it will only make worse?  It is amazing how fast we went from HOPE and CHANGE to DOOM and GLOOM!

Posted by Olan Carder (Fairway Independent Mortgage) about 3 years ago

Hah..would you like that in large bills or small ones Paul?:-)

I am for personal inspiration or is that perspiration.  We need to bail ourselves out and then extend to our neighbors....why always looking to government...do we think they KNOW the answer?

I have actually considered changing my company name to Mangigian Bank and Automotive Dealership in order to perhaps attract my share of the $800 Billion.  My backup plan is to blackmail our little band of miscreants with all I know about the night Lenza did his swan song.  Mei Ling and the gang have a lot to answer for and I expect the payoff will be huge.  This plan will only work if Jesse returns the other shoe that has been hanging in his chandelier since some time last year.  That is the only piece of incriminating evidence against me.

The first way to fix the problem is to fix the "perception of a problem".  You can't do that by doing nothing.  Once sentiment changes the ecconomy will begin to improve but ot unitl.

It has to do with confidence....the confidence of each american...and the media, although may be telling the true story, continues with doom and gloom on the economy....people have just lost confidence......perception is truly a big problem.

The stock market is like a carousel pony that goes round and round until the fat man stops smoking his Cohibe. No, that's not it. Let me try again. Shares tend to reach equilibrium and there's no sense trying to make a lopsided equation. Peanut butter on one side, jam on the other.

Wait, I got it. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is like a tracking pole with the electric bunny out front and the skinny greyhounds chasing him. In the end the bunny gets a new fuse and the dogs get water.

Paul---- I looked for my check in the mailbox this morning. I'm with Sandra, I thought everything was Kool-aid!

Take a look at  Dinah Lee Griffey Allyn, Belfair,Bank Owned,Homes & Land (Windermere Peninsula Properties). Her latest blog has thoughts about recent measures on The Hill too.

Here are my view on American confidence and perception.  We need to stop listening to the rest, and Start believing in ourselves again!

Just as a matter of record, I am adding "doom and gloom," "consumer confidence" and "perception problem" to the growing list of economic cliches.  If you can't beat 'em, join 'em ;)
