The Scottsdale Real Estate Files: Video Tour of McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona!

Video Tour of McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona!

Welcome to McCormick Ranch in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona! As a Scottsdale native, I fished these lakes as a child, jogged these paths as a teen and now I sell these houses as a grown man. Whether you come for the weather, the golf, award winning schools or the stunning Spanish architecture, you will understand why this native son refuses to leave. So hop in and take a tour of my McCormick Ranch home!

Andrew- If you are trying to view it in Firefox, you need to toggle to IE. Mixpo videos can only be viewed in IE right now.

Paul- Great video, nice and steady, good use of your text too.

A little more to McCormick Ranch than just the train!  Really nice video + music was perfect.

Thank you, Katerina.  I broke out the tripod for this one.  I can tell that I am really going to enjoy mastering video as a marketing tool.  The flip is great, and Mixpo is very user friendly.  I love the options we have for linking the videos as well.

I appreciate it, Virginia.  There's no shortage of great things to shoot here so I should get plenty of practice.  I hope to keep getting better at it.

Really nice, Paul!  I like your choice of music -- very peaceful.  There is a lot of space to breathe in McCormick Ranch.

I fished these lakes as a child, jogged these paths as a teen and sell these houses today as a man. What the?!?

And they'll probably bury your old ass behind that sign when you croak.

That's what makes it such a coveted neighborhood, Elaine.  You just don't see developers putting this kind of effort into the common areas and amenities these days.  The dirt is too expensive.  Besides, McCormick Ranch was WAY up north when it was originally developed in the early 70s.  They needed all of this to draw people.  Now, of course, it's about as central as it gets.  Thanks for your approval!

Lenza:  You're just jealous because your Jersey behind hasn't seen a blade of grass in your life.  And those crooked sticks?  We use them to hit the little white balls.

McCormick Ranch seems like a genuine "place" in my perception of your fair region. What more could a resident wish for? Golf, beautiful home, the train!

What a waste of perfectly good sticks. We use the sticks to waylay camera-toting, boll-weavels from Arizona walking down the sidewalk gawking at the really, really tall buildings. ;)

I smoked an oak leaf once.

I can get a lush Jersey lawn in 30 minutes. Concrete sidewalk + 2 cans green spraypaint = instant grass

Those buildings are quite tall, and my knee still hurts.

You've been Jeff Gillooly'd like that figure skater at the Olympics. Us Italians -- right for the hinge joints.

I dig your video Paul. Did you shoot that with Flip Camera? How about the Mixpo.... easy to use.

Thanks, Ryan. Yes, I did use a flip camera. Mixpo is a breeze, but I must confess to cheating a bit with Windows Movie Maker software.

Well, I can't get the audio to work, but I like the video very much!  Was that your pool? tee hee...

You can't hear the audio, Lisa?  That's odd.  Try taking your PC off mute ;)
Posted by Paul Slaybaugh, Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (Realty Executives) about 1 year ago
Nope, no audio.  I'm pretty sure that I'm not completely deaf yet, so....

Borrow Lenza's computer.

Very nice Paul.  I can see and hear it.  Don't know what's wrong with those 'foreigners'.  LOL

McCormick Ranch was still considered 'way up north' when I moved here in 83.  Now, like you said it's 'in' town.

Paul - beautiful area and I love the video.

Funny, isn't it, Doreen?  When I was a kid, the Little League that I played in at Jackrabbit and Hayden Road was referred to as "North Scottsdale."  Of course, Cactus Road was largely dirt at the time ... crazy what a couple of decades can change.

Thank you, Sharon.  Considering the gorgeous area you live in, I will accept that as high praise indeed on behalf of Scottsdale!

Looks like home to me, Paul.  You did a great job of highlighting the best of McCormick Ranch.
Posted by Dru Bloomfield | Scottsdale AZ Real Estate (John Hall & Associates) about 1 year ago

Well done, Paul.  I still want to see a video of your listing presentation though.

Posted by Amanda Hall * FORT WORTH TEXAS Real Estate Broker * (Hall Team Homes ) about 1 year ago

Thank you, Dru.  I had a hunch you might appreciate more than most.  Any chance of you making the networking meeting that Candace has put together for the 24th? Love to see you there, if possible.

Amanda:  One of these days.  That's a promise.

Fabulous presentation my friend and might I add...the selected music was not nearly as questionable as mine was! :)
Posted by Shannon Lefevre, PA (John R. Wood REALTORS Inc.) about 1 year ago
Questionable, Shannon?  No way.  Your music had flavor!  Still smiling about video number one and nodding my head to video number two.
